An Honor

Got back a few days ago from the New Year's Eve Outreach with Street Life Ministires in New York City. It was sweet to serve the Lord, but it was extra-awesome because I got to do it alongside my friends from UD! (Bart, Steve, Courtney, Byron, Megan). We had an amazing time passing out free hot chocolate and praying for people on the streets. It was such an honor to serve with them. There's something special about serving together. It seems that God uses it to bring a greater depth to friendships.

We met many people with many remarkable stories. It's a powerful thing to see people on the streets with little or no food and home, especially when it's freezing outside! A lot of people have very little, but they are so appreciative for every bite, every coat, every night spent indoors. The bottom picture is our friend Bill. We had an enjoyable conversation with him and prayed for his relative in the war. He also shared a bit about what he was doing on 9/11. Throw up a prayer for him please : - )
