for some reason - I've totally been putting off reading some of the books in the Old Testament (Leviticus, Numbers). I seem to have memories of them being boring or hard or not super-enjoyable. Today I felt strongly that I needed to start reading through them again. I read the first two chapters of Leviticus (as well as some commentary/application notes on them) and God immediately drew connections between them and my life (the seriousness and cost of my sin, God's holiness and the call for me to be clean and pure like Him). I realized how unreasonable it was for me to keep neglecting it. Every part of God's Word has meaning and application for my life and it's always deeper and greater than what it first seems to be.
